At Magic Breakfast we love food, fun and innovation so we’ll add our ‘bit of sparkle’ to the relationship for all your office locations including:

For Individuals

  • Magic Dinner Friday – a quarterly dress down day with a twist. Those taking part enter a prize draw to win a dinner for two that night at a local, top restaurant.
  • The ‘Fuel for Learning’ Run - we would love the opportunity to work with Bank of America Merrill Lynch to develop Magic Breakfast’s first ever bespoke fun run e.g. in Chester.
  • Breakfast Club – colleagues buy an annual subscription to this premier breakfast club with a chance to meet senior partners and hear inspirational speakers e.g. chefs, food bloggers and nutritionists.

For Teams

  • Magic Chefs – Departments will compete for the title of Magic Chefs 2017 with the final judged by one of our amazing supporter chefs and a recipe book produced for sale to colleagues.
  • Bear Grylls Race  – 5km team survival challenge (in Manchester and London).
  • Zombie Bankers Evacuation Challenge  – a surreal 5km obstacle course with a fun twist (a great one for graduates).

Special or mass participation events

  • Wake up BofAML – a Magic Breakfast easy exercise workout, including local schools and families, to start the day energised and happy.
  • Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is Big Quiz.
  • Magic Christmas – a children’s story reading in your office and a lovely family occasion.

We want Bank of America Merrill Lynch colleagues to connect with Magic Breakfast by living and breathing our cause. You can become part of the solution by helping to roll out the Magic Breakfast model. We will do our best to pair you with Magic Breakfast partner schools in the communities where you work and live. Opportunities to be part of this catalytic force for good include:

Schools Volunteering

  • helping serve breakfasts
  • playing with children and encouraging them to interact
  • enhancing reading, writing and arithmetic skills
  • leading a sporting activity

‘A good breakfast helps me succeed’ School Assemblies

The chance to present to the school and parent community, to introduce employees of Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a role models for our partner school communities, sharing good food knowledge and supporting aspirations to join the financial services industry.

Skills Sharing

We would like to draw on your wealth of knowledge so we will welcome volunteers to help optimise our charitable activity from impact measurement and data analytics to accounting and financial planning.

Activism and Making the Case for Change

One of our main strategic goals is to bring together the public, third and corporate sectors to solve the problem of hunger as a barrier to learning for good through realising our vision of improving wellbeing and educational outcomes. We would therefore welcome the support of Bank of America Merrill Lynch volunteers to help us raise awareness and galvanize support from the financial services sector (inducing places on our corporate leadership board).
