What is Magic Makers?
Magic Makers is our wonderful winter programme, giving volunteers the unique chance to join our primary school pupils for breakfast and share in the magic of the festive season.
Companies of all sizes get involved by purchasing and wrapping presents, then visiting the school to hand them out during a joyful breakfast visit. It’s a special chance to celebrate the partnerships we’ve built over the year and to end the year on a high note with the pupils we support.

How the event works

1. Purchase the presents
The wish lists we share with you are carefully crafted to enrich breakfast provision. Don’t forget to buy wrapping paper as well as batteries if any of your gifts require them!

2. Get gift wrapping
Wrap all the presents and label them accordingly. Check out the handbook for all the information you will need on labelling the gifts correctly.

3. Look at the resources
The briefing video and handbook will tell you everything you need to know, as well as lots of ideas on how best to engage with the children!

4. Deliver the gifts by hand!
Breakfast alongside pupils at a Magic Breakfast school, see them open their gifts, play with them and create a truly special morning for everyone.
Briefing the team
Nothing gets volunteers ready for a visit quite like a briefing video! Make sure everyone gives it a watch before the event. It will tell you all you need to know so you can make the most of this visit, both for yourself and for the children who will be eagerly expecting you.
Volunteer handbook
In our handbook, you will find:
- Guidance on how to prepare for the visit
- Safeguarding information
- Photography guidance
- Lots of ideas for games and activities to bring with you to the visit
