Our stories Magic Blog A magical morning at Black Friday Live Children from one of our partner schools, King Solomon Academy, were delighted to be the special guests at the Amazon Black Friday Live event in London to attend a live reading with the singer, tv personality and writer Alesha Dixon. On arrival, the children were welcomed with a gorgeous breakfast spread including delicious fruit kebabs and given the chance to explore the venue. They were in before the general public so were able to enjoy all the wonderful, interactive opportunities without queues or crowds. There were some amazing experiences. In one room you could ask Alexa to take to you to a particular venue and the whole room transformed into the chosen place, in one instance complete with galloping unicorns! The main event was a live reading from Alesha Dixon. Sadly, Alesha couldn’t attend in person as she was self-isolating, but she was live on a big screen and the children were utterly enthralled as she read from her latest book ‘Girls Rule’. She was then able to answer questions from the children, lots of which were about writing. The children were all given signed copies of the book and Amazon kindly gave a donation to King Solomon Academy to buy more books for the school library. Max Haimendorf, Principal at King Solomon Academy said, "At KSA, we are proud to partner with Magic Breakfast to fuel our children’s learning from the moment they arrive every day. What an added delight to nourish them with special reading opportunities too! Our pupils absolutely loved hearing Alesha read from her new book and spent the entire bus journey home with their noses in their new books!” Thank you so much to Amazon for such an enjoyable and memorable experience. A magical morning for all. Manage Cookie Preferences
