Encouraging a teenager to arrive at school on time, with a healthy breakfast inside them, prior to their first class so that they are ready to learn can be challenging. We know that typically the pupil uptake of a school breakfast provision is significantly lower in secondary schools than primary schools.

During this webinar you will have the opportunity to hear about a research project that was carried out in ten secondary schools across Scotland in 2023-24. We discussed the methodology that was used, including the co-creation of production pilots by the young people at school, and explore the initiatives that were designed to enhance both the uptake of school breakfast and the associated positive outcomes.

You will also hear about the success of the local authority partnerships that Magic Breakfast currently hold and consider whether a partnership of this nature could help tackle child poverty in your area.
