We’re delighted to welcome Julie-Anne Jamieson to our Board of Trustees. Julie-Anne is an experienced trustee and Chief Executive who has held leadership roles across the public sector, and independent public inquiries in Scotland. Currently, she is Chief Executive of the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry and a trustee of Volunteering Matters.
Julie-Anne joins Magic Breakfast as a new trustee in Scotland following the ‘Breakfast Can’t Wait’ campaign in Scotland last year. Her appointment means we now have an even greater understanding and depth of experience of Scottish schools and education policy.
Julie-Anne is excited to join Magic Breakfast and commented: ‘Joining the trustees at Magic Breakfast is a timely opportunity. Children and young people need investment, support and advocates, now, more than ever and Magic Breakfast has a great record in both delivering solutions that back children today, as well as campaigning for investment and backing that support their futures. I’m looking forward to supporting that and working alongside the Magic Breakfast trustees team.’
Julie-Anne was welcomed to the Board of Trustees by Aniela Shuckburgh, Chair of the Board of Trustees who said: ‘We are delighted to announce Julie-Anne’s appointment. Julie-Anne will bring a brave and compassionate voice to Magic Breakfast and her enviable breadth of experience will prove invaluable to our work improving the lives of children and young people in Scotland and England.’
Welcome Julie-Anne!
