We visited St Luke’s Primary School in South London where they talked to us about the impact a warm breakfast of baked beans can have on a cold winter’s day.
Thanks to our partnership with Heinz, we can provide our partner schools with free beans for their breakfasts which are high in protein and 1 of your 5 a day! This gives children and young people a warm, nutritious start to the day.
In our Winter Warmers webinar, our team discuss the importance of warm meals during the colder months, sharing inspiring case studies, and offering practical tips for schools to implement warm breakfast options from our Magic Menu, like beans and porridge. Magic Breakfast partner school, St Luke’s Primary, are serving up beans at their breakfast club and on the school gates, successfully providing a warm start to the day for their pupils.
There are absolutely no challenges to delivering beans at our Breakfast Club. In fact, the beans we serve make all the difference. The children absolutely enjoy having the beans. What could just be bagels with butter on a plate, becomes a real experience with a spoon of beans.
For our Grab & Go options, our main focus is ensuring those getting beans on the go enjoy a wholesome experience of warm, well-presented beans. This is only a challenge during the winter months. But the truth is, hot or cold, they love the beans – especially when we do it the St Luke’s way, served with a smile.”

At St Luke’s, students can be dropped off early for the before-school breakfast club, or they can collect a pot of beans from the grab & go table in the playground. Take a look at the impact a warm breakfast of baked beans has on their pupils!
