Over the past five years, SEN and ASN schools have repeatedly told us that Magic Breakfast helps children develop social skills, like talking, sharing, and making friends. These schools focus a lot on building social skills, and so they run breakfast in a way that supports that. Historically, mainstream schools have also seen an impact on social skills but to a lesser degree than in SEN and ASN setting. But this year the difference between SEN and ASN schools, and mainstream schools has become smaller This is because more mainstream schools are now seeing how eating breakfast together can help children connect with others and grow their social skills.
Having breakfast at school makes a big impact across a child’s education.
