We were absolutely delighted to be joined by Team GB Olympians at our partner schools. A huge thank you to our long term partner, Quaker, for making this possible.
Christine Ohuruogu, Olympic gold medallist, Eve Muirhead, curling gold medallist and five-time Olympian; Laura Deas, skeleton bronze medallist; and Georgia Hunter Bell, bronze medallist in the 1500m in Paris visited Magic Breakfast partner schools. The athletes met pupils and joined their breakfast club whilst sharing their personal stories of determination and success to show that great achievements in sport, and in life, start by fuelling with a nutritious breakfast. This event was part of Quaker and Magic Breakfast’s partnership, designed to inspire children – particularly girls – to start their day strong.

“As an athlete, I learned early on that how you start your day shapes everything that follows. A good breakfast gives you the energy, focus and confidence to push through challenges – whether that’s training for the Olympics or getting ready for school. I want every child to know that small, healthy habits can lead to big dreams.” – Christine Ohuruogu
“Breakfast has always been a key part of my routine – it sets me up mentally and physically for the day ahead. It’s so important that young people, especially girls, understand that fuelling your body properly is part of believing in yourself. I’m proud to be part of this campaign inspiring the next generation to start their day strong.” – Eve Muirhead

“In my sport, you rely on sharp focus and split-second reactions – and that starts with the right fuel. Skipping breakfast simply isn’t an option when you want to perform at your best. I hope this initiative helps show children that taking care of yourself and eating well can make all the difference, in sport and in life.” – Laura Deas
“Success doesn’t just come from talent – it comes from consistent, healthy habits. For me, breakfast is the foundation of my training and my mindset. I want young people to see that giving your body what it needs in the morning is one of the simplest but most powerful ways to believe in yourself and your goals.” – Georgia Hunter Bell

A huge thank you to Quaker for providing this wonderful opportunity.
