Magic Breakfast are delighted to announce that we are now partners of the Department for Education’s free breakfast club programme for the 2025/26 academic year.

With over 20 years of experience and expertise, we’re thrilled to be part of the early adopter test and learn phase, which comes as the first step towards the national roll out of free breakfast clubs for all primary-aged pupils in schools in England.

For the 750 schools participating in the programme, they will now be able to order breakfast foods from Magic Breakfast via our food ordering platform. With nutritious food items from our tailored menu, we will curate a breakfast model that meets the needs of pupils, staff and the wider school community. We know that school staff are tight on time and resource, so we’re keeping things simple. Not only will schools have a tailored breakfast menu of high-quality food products delivered to their door, but they’ll also benefit from our breadth of expertise, frontline experience and research.

A nutritious breakfast to start the day feeling full and fuelled is essential for learning, and the foods on our menu are filled with the goodness children and young people need. These include items high in protein such as beans and eggs, high fibre bakery products and cereals, as well as calcium-rich milk – all from well-known household brands. As a charity we’ve spent years working with household name food brands, and many are now supporting our commercial offer too, providing discounted products that align with and exceed school food standards and are fortified to have extra nutritional value than cheaper own brand alternatives.

What sets Magic Breakfast apart is its holistic approach to supporting children. It’s not just about filling empty stomachs, it’s about creating a welcoming, calm space where every child starts the day feeling valued and ready to learn. Magic Breakfast creates a routine that brings different aged pupils together.

Magic Breakfast helps ‘level the playing field’. It ensures all children begin the school day with energy and focus.”

As this programme runs, we will continue to deliver breakfast to the thousands of children and young people in other primary and special schools, as well as secondary schools who are arriving at the school gates with rumbling tummies.
