Taylor Wimpey and Magic Breakfast have been proud partners for the past 3 years, united by a shared commitment to support children and young people facing food insecurity.
Throughout the past 3 years, the partnership has grown, connecting seven Business Units with local schools where Taylor Wimpey build their homes and create communities. Through our initiatives like Magic Makeovers, Aspiration Days, and the Magic Makers Christmas campaign, Taylor Wimpey employees have brought practical support and joy to thousands of children and young people across England and Scotland. We spoke to Sarah Hartley-Hill, Customer Director at Taylor Wimpey, about highlights of the partnership and what’s to come!

Could you tell us about Taylor Wimpey and what your role is?
Taylor Wimpey is one of the UK’s leading residential developers, building homes and communities across England, Wales and Scotland. As Customer Director, I lead our customer engagement strategy, ensuring we deliver not just quality homes but also meaningful experiences and support for the communities we serve for our North Midlands region.
When did you first hear about Magic Breakfast?
We first connected with Magic Breakfast in 2023, drawn to their mission to end child morning hunger. Their values align perfectly with ours; supporting local communities and giving every child the best start to their day. It was a natural fit, and the impact has been immediate and inspiring.
What has been a highlight of partnering with Magic Breakfast?
One standout moment was seeing the transformation at St John’s Church School in Peterborough. Our volunteers helped create vibrant outdoor learning spaces through the Magic Makeovers initiative. The joy and gratitude from the children and staff made it clear how powerful this partnership truly is. It’s been fantastic to listen to the children speaking about their career aspirations and the kindness shown was inspirational.
What are you most excited about for the future of the partnership?
I’m excited to see even more Business Units get involved and deepen their relationships with local schools. The potential to expand our volunteering calendar and co-create impactful experiences like Aspiration Days and breakfast club visits is enormous. We are also looking forward to hosting a Great Big Breakfast on national breakfast day in 2026 across our business units – we’re just getting started.
Of course, we have to ask… what’s your favourite breakfast?
Sourdough, butter and marmite!
