At Magic Breakfast, we’ve been working with schools for over 20 years, and we’ve seen just how powerful breakfast can be. It does far more than just fill tummies. And this is especially true for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, or SEND, and those with Additional Support Needs, or ASN.
This webpage is here to shine a spotlight on breakfast in SEND and ASN settings and the incredible benefits it brings.
We spoke to five of our SEND/ASN partner schools to hear directly from them about the impact breakfast has had. From those conversations, we identified four key themes of outcomes and seven ingredients for success that help breakfast thrive.
These insights could be useful to anyone looking to make the most of breakfast in their setting.
