Every morning, something special happens in over 1,000 schools across England and Scotland…

Children and young people walk through the doors, grab a nutritious breakfast, and start their day feeling ready to learn.

This year, we reached our biggest milestone ever.

Magic Breakfast now makes a difference to more than 350,000 children and young people every single school day. That’s a huge number, and behind each one is a real pupil beginning their day with energy, focus, and confidence.

Why does our work matter?

When children and young people are hungry, learning feels harder. It’s tough to concentrate, join in, or feel your best. A good breakfast can change all of that. It gives pupils the fuel they need to do well in class and feel calm and ready for the day.

That’s why we show up every morning with care, consistency and lots of nutritious food. In 2024/25, we provided more breakfasts than ever before… over 30 million across the year!

We listened, learned and improved

This year, children, young people and school communities helped guide our work. They told us what breakfasts they enjoy, what helps them in the morning, and how we can make things even better. Their ideas helped shape new menus, new ways of serving food, and better support for schools.

We helped make change across the country

We also worked hard to make sure morning hunger stays high on the agenda. We championed change in Scotland and played a part in the Government’s commitment to free breakfast clubs for primary pupils in England.

Step by step, we are helping build a future where no child is too hungry to learn and thrive.
