Get involved Corporate Support Arla Our partnership with Arla came about when they reached out to Magic Breakfast at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in April 2020, with an offer to provide free Cravendale milk vouchers to schools as part of our Covid-19 response. Across three national lockdowns, two school years and one global pandemic, Arla has provided a whopping 950,000 milk vouchers for children at our partner schools as part of our ‘at home’ breakfast provision – and this is just the beginning! Arla is passionate about dairy and the goodness and nutrition it provides. They are also passionate about teaching children about farming and how milk gets from the farm to the fridge. They believe strongly that understanding this will enable children to make good food choices throughout their lives. As part of our partnership, Arla has provided free educational opportunities and resources for children at Magic Breakfast partner schools throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, highlighting the nutritional value of dairy through fun learning activities, videos and recipes. They have also created two special storybooks about the life of real Arla dairy farmer, Jonny and his cow, Jelly. Jonny and Jelly Go Round and Round and Jonny and Jelly Go From Strength to Strength are delightful tales providing a fun and engaging introduction to the dairy farming process and the actions that Arla farmers are taking to create a more sustainable future. The storybooks have been written with Key Stage 1 and 2 children in mind and are free to download or listen on Spotify “We are extremely proud to support Magic Breakfast in ensuring no child is too hungry to learn. Too many schoolchildren are starting their day on empty stomachs and since April 2020 we have been delighted to work with the charity to provide 950,000 Cravendale milk vouchers, the equivalent of 9.5 million bowls of cereal! We want to continue to develop our partnership by sharing with those schoolchildren the benefits of dairy as part of a balanced, nutritious and sustainable diet through the eyes of our very own farmer owners and ensure they start the day happy and focused.” Danny Micklethwaite, Senior Marketing Director Arla Foods Manage Cookie Preferences
