Magic Breakfast are so grateful to be the beneficiaries of a fantastic, football-focused fundraising video from one our partners schools, Flakefleet Primary in Lancashire.
Families are really struggling with the cost-of-living crisis and too many children are going hungry. We all know what a difference a good start to the day makes for the children and are so grateful to Magic Breakfast who have provided free breakfasts for our children for many years now. We thought it was time to give something back, raise money for a cause close to our hearts and, hopefully, make people smile along the way.”
Dave McPartlin, Headteacher, Flakefleet Primary School
The children at Flakefleet and their wonderful headteacher, Dave McPartlin, who have previously appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and received the coveted golden buzzer, have launched the dance track, Bring It Home. This amazing video is supporting and encouraging our football heroes to win the 2024 Euros, while also raising vital funds for Magic Breakfast to ensure that no child or young person is too hungry to learn.
As Lindsey MacDonald, our CEO, has highlighted, “The effects of childhood morning hunger on our communities go beyond the school gates – they intensify inequality, health issues and continue the cycle of poverty in society. But, with the right help at the start of the school day, free school breakfasts can unlock children and young people’s learning, health and opportunities.”
Thank you so much to everyone at Flakefleet, we are so excited to be involved, and grateful for your support in helping us end child morning hunger now and for good.
