Magic Breakfast is the official charity partner for EuroHockey championships

Donate to Magic Breakfast - every 28p breakfast is one more chance for a child to connect and succeed

An empty tummy means a lack of concentration, focus and energy. To go out onto the field of play not fuelled for the game would be unthinkable for a professional hockey player - equivalent to being given a hockey stick that can't be properly controlled. For a classroom full of children, empty tummies also equate to lost potential. If children are hungry they can't learn or have the chance to fulfil their potential.

That's why England Hockey has partnered with Magic Breakfast as the official charity partner of the men’s and women’s teams travelling to the EuroHockey championships in Germany to take on the very best in Europe from 18 – 27 August.

Sadly, the number of children at risk of hunger in the UK has increased since the outbreak of the pandemic and the latest research from The Food Foundation shows that four million children are currently facing food insecurity. Magic Breakfast provides free, nutritious school breakfasts every day to children and young people in disadvantaged areas of England and Scotland.  A hungry child cannot concentrate, so could miss out on half a day of lessons every school day if not given anything nutritious to eat in the morning.
