Our stories Magic Blog Hypnos 2,000 mile bike ride September 2017 A determined team from luxury bedmaker, Hypnos, embarked on a gruelling bike ride on 5th September in aid of Magic Breakfast, which they have kindly chosen as their 2017 Corporate Charity Partner. The squad, made up of 24 Hypnos employees, raised an outstanding £13,000 in total after cycling a total of 2,000 miles in one day as a fundraising event between its two factories in Princes Risborough and Castle Donington. Hypnos believe that by teaching children the value of both a good night’s sleep and a nutritious breakfast, they are guaranteed to have the best start to the day possible, maximising their learning and future opportunities. Chris Ward, group marketing director at Hypnos, commented: “As a company, we have already donated sufficient funds to provide breakfasts for more than 300 school children for one year, but we are committed to organising fundraising events to double that contribution". “The team really pulled together and showed true camaraderie, making sure everyone was able to finish the challenge in good spirits. Every 22p donated to the charity gives a child a healthy breakfast and the chance to succeed at school and we’re delighted that the money raised will make a big difference. We’re also especially thankful to our main sponsors, John Cotton Group Limited, Leggett & Platt Limited, Charles Blyth & Co Limited and Barnes Roffe for all of their support.” Tom Halliley, corporate partnerships manager at Magic Breakfast, added: “The bike ride was a fantastic way for Hypnos to raise money for our charity. We are extremely grateful to everyone who took part and worked so hard to complete the challenge. Without donations like these we would not be able to continue our charitable work and help thousands of disadvantaged children across the region.” Thank you team Hypnos for your heroic effort!
