Our stories Magic Blog Dear Prime Minister, I like to eat breakfast at school because… 11 November 2019 Last Thursday some very excited children from St Paul’s Primary in Whitechapel got to knock on a very famous front door, in order to deliver over 1,000 special postcards to the Prime Minister. The postcards were from children at Magic Breakfast partner schools across the country, calling on the Prime Minister and all political parties, to commit to school breakfast legislation in their manifestos. The postcards are part of our #FueltheirFuture campaign which calls on the Government to take action to ensure no child starts the day too hungry to learn. https://www.magicbreakfast.com/Pages/Category/campaign The messages on the postcards varied from very positive thoughts on the benefits of a healthy school breakfast, to some that were very sad and showed how vital school breakfast provision is. After posing with a slightly bemused policeman in the doorway of number 10, and greeting Larry, Number 10’s cat, the children were treated to a hot breakfast nearby. Because breakfast really matters.
