People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador, Danyl Johnson, spent a busy morning pouring cereal and buttering bagels for pupils at Gifford Primary School in West London recently.  He then joined their pop choir to perform songs for guests and children attending the school's Magic Breakfast club.

Danyl was at Gifford Primary to make a film for People’s Postcode Lottery, talking to Magic Breakfast founder, Carmel McConnell MBE, about the work of Magic Breakfast. Carmel told Danyl: "A hungry child cannot concentrate. If they can't learn, they can't succeed. Without the players [of People's Postcode Lottery] we wouldn't be able to feed the children that we're feeding right now".

The Head Teacher of Gifford Primary, Sarah Wilson, said: "Magic Breakfast provision has improved our attendance and really improved our punctuality. Children are really keen to come to school, they come rushing in so that they can have some breakfast."

Magic Breakfast has been supported by players of People's Postcode Lottery for over five years. This year players are funding an amazing one milllion healthy school breakfasts and 10 brand new breakfast clubs in schools across the UK, helping to fill bellies and energise minds and bodies for the morning of learning ahead.

Thank you to Danyl for making it such a fun morning and of course to players of People’s Postcode Lottery for their vital support.
