About Press Releases Gail's Street Party 16th August, 2016. GAIL’s Bakery pledges 10,000 breakfasts to Magic Breakfast charity On 17th September, GAIL’s Bakery is asking Londoners to help raise at least 10,000 breakfasts for hungry school children through Magic Breakfast. Every day, 500,000 children in the UK are going to school too hungry to learn. GAIL’s is dedicating the Bakery’s annual Street Party to putting good food into kids’ bellies. 22p is the cost of one breakfast for kids at school who need it most. GAIL’s Bakery, along with 20 of the UK’s best food and craft producers, will be donating at least 22p from every item sold at the Street Party to Magic Breakfast, the charity that provides kids with healthy breakfasts. Londoners visiting the event will be asked to get involved too with the help of a giant, live-illustrated map, by donating breakfasts for kids in their boroughs. The GAIL’s Street Party, now in its 11th year, is a celebration of craftsmanship and will see friends of the Bakery host stalls, including Buchanan’s Cheesemonger, Cobble Lane Cured Meats, East London Liquor Company, London Beer Factory, Hampson Woods, PurEarth, Pate Moi and more. GAIL’s own goodies will be available on the day, with a sausage roll station and other fresh-baked sweets, savouries and breads. “No child should go without breakfast and we are humbled by the impact that Magic Breakfast has in schools across London,” says Tom Molnar, founder of GAIL’s Bakery, “The GAIL’s Street Party, as well as being great fun, allows us all to be able to help kids learn better, by having healthy breakfasts.” “Magic Breakfast is very grateful for support from this outstanding food company. We hope that by working with GAIL’s, we can reach some of the thousands of children who currently start their school day too hungry to learn.” says Carmel McConnell, founder of Magic Breakfast. The GAIL’s Street Party is 17th September, 11am-5pm, outside the Bakery’s original shop at 64 Hampstead High Street, NW3. www.gailsbread.co.uk www.facebook.com/GAILsBakery @GAILsBakery - Issued by Fraser Communications on behalf of GAIL’s Artisan Bakery - For more information please contact Dominique Fraser at Fraser Communications: [email protected] Tel: 020 8533 7179 Notes to Editors: The GAIL’s ARTISAN BAKERY story began in the early 1990s, when Gail Mejia and our bakers started serving London’s top restaurant chefs. Today, baking for top chefs continues to be our main focus. In 2005, we opened our first neighbourhood bakery in Hampstead. Our aim is to make world-class craft bread a part of every community. We want to reinvent the way Londoners think about bread – fresh and handmade – and their neighborhood bakery – local and beautiful.
