For the first time this year, we asked our schools if Magic Breakfast makes an impact on life skills. Over half of mainstream schools said yes, meaning that more than 50% saw an improvement in life skills such as using cutlery or preparing food. When we look just at SEN and ASN schools, this proportion grows to a huge 82%. This shows just how big a role breakfast can play in preparing learners with SEN and ASN for the future. Often in SEN and ASN schools, learners are encouraged to prepare their own food and get involved in clearing up. This can give them confidence to be independent and can help them prepare for life beyond school.
Having breakfast at school makes a big impact across a child’s education.
