Magic Breakfast currently works with hundreds of schools across England and Scotland, each and every school day, to offer breakfast to thousands of children who otherwise might not have anything to eat all morning.

It is no exaggeration to say that every penny you fundraise can make a real and very tangible difference to the lives of these young people. Having breakfast every morning has real life impacts from achieving better grades, higher attendance in class and improved behaviour. Breakfast also has genuine effects on communities, helping families at a time of such uncertainty because of the cost of living crisis. All this costs just 28p.

That's right – 28p can provide a nutritious and life-shaping breakfast to a hungry child.

£10 could give 2 months of breakfasts to prevent a child falling behind in school

£25 could feed a whole classroom for 3 school days, boosting reading and maths progress

£55 could give a child 1 year of nutritious school breakfasts

£100 could give 357 children the fuel they need to learn

£250 could feed a child for more than 4 school years, giving them the chance to succeed

£1,000 could provide a school with food and expert support for over a month

Your support will help us raise vital funds so that we can continue reaching those in need. But not just that – by talking to people about Magic Breakfast, you will also be helping us to shed a light on the challenges faced by the millions of children at risk of facing hunger every morning across our country.

As a busy working mum, breakfast times can be quite chaotic in our house, but it is such an important meal as it sets us all up for the day. The thought of so many children arriving to school hungry is really upsetting, which is why I’m getting behind Magic Breakfast’s Great Big Breakfast event this April. Please get involved if you can and host a special breakfast party for friends, family workmates or bring your community together and invite your neighbours. For a small donation of £3 each they can feed a child a healthy, nutritious breakfast for two school weeks. How incredible is that.
