Virtual Easter Run

The Virtual Marathon Series presents the Virtual Easter Run This is a 5K Virtual run which can be done on or before Easter Day. Simply register to the event below and we will give you access to the Virtual Marathon Series runners portal where you can submit your evidence before or on the big day. The Virtual Easter Run also has a special challenge attached and asks that you run 5K on Easter day with a fetching pair of bunny ears. Quite simply to earn the special challenge virtual medal you will need to upload a picture of you at the end of your run in Easter fancy dress. 

The Virtual Marathon Series are also offering two prizes;

1.    The first one is for the fastest time in fancy dress, become our Easter run world record holder

2.    Secondly, to the person who raises the most money for their chosen charity by Easter Day 

They will donate £250 to the charities chosen by the 2 winners and they will also receive a running goodies pack from the Virtual Marathon Series partner, RunThrough in the post.

To apply for the fastest runner you will need to enter your time through the Virtual Marathon Series portal and complete the 5K in fancy dress on Easter. 

To apply for the highest fundraiser you will need to send an email to virtual@runforcharity.com with a link to your fundraising page no later than the 1st of May. 

The Big Step Challenge

1st April 2024 ‐ 30th April 2024

What better way to stay fit and challenge yourself to complete a number of steps every day for a month.

Reach your target and you will receive your well earned medal in the post.

How it works:

1) Sign up to your race
2) Complete your run
3) Upload your evidence to Virtual@runforcharity.com on completion
4) Put your feet up
5) Wait for the postman to drop off your medal!

Evidence Submission

Simply take a picture of your fitness tracker, watch or any other tech device which can show you having completed your challenge and send it via email to virtual@runforcharity.com with your name, the name of the challenge you did and our charity name. During isolation we will also accept daily written logs or a picture of you at the end of your challenge with your time and distance written on a piece of paper. 

All medals are subject to availability at this time so please bear with us during isolation however we will aim for no later than 2 weeks after isolation ends if there are any delays. Please note that all International Registrations (outside of the UK) will have to cover a £10 postage fee before the medal is posted.

Run London Virtual

The Run London Virtual Challenge allows you to run a number of different distances and in a variety of different team sizes. Whichever way you decide to take part you will ultimately get 1 time for your marathon distance. 

In celebration of the London Marathon being the biggest 1 day fundraising event in the world this event is for the people.

Individuals

Run 26.2 miles and submit 1 lot of evidence to earn your medal
Run (2 x 13.1) miles and submit 2 lots of evidence to earn your medal (Can be done on the same day, consecutive days, or 1 every six months if you choose.)
Run (4 x 4) 10.24Km and submit 4 lots of evidence to earn your medal (Can be done on the same day, consecutive days, or 1 every 4 months if you choose.)
Run (8 x 8) 5.27Km and submit 8 lots of evidence to earn your medal (Can be done on the same day, consecutive days, or 1 every month if you choose.)

As a Team

As a pair run 1 x 13.1 miles, a half marathon each on the same day
4 x 4 team, team of 4 people run 10.24 Km each on the same day
8 x 8 team, team of 8 people run 5.27 Km each on the same day

The team challenges can be completed by different people on different days but in the nature of a team event the idea is to do the on the same day.
