The week started with a bagel bar in Amazon's reception area, offering staff a ‘free’ bagel – cue bucket shaking - so they could start their day well. A team of dedicated Amazon volunteers spread and served a small mountain of bagels and raised money and smiles in the process.

Later on that day, Magic Breakfast hosted a presentation on volunteering, explaining how employees could have a rewarding and meaningful experience by engaging at local breakfast clubs, which generated a lot of interest.

On Tuesday and Wednesday staff had the chance to burn off some calories with a Spinathon. Amazon employees are pretty competitive! Teams signed up and there were soon some impressive speeds being logged.

Madeleine Knowles, Senior Manager, Amazon in the Community said “It was brilliant to see so many employee volunteers come together to organise a week of fundraising activities for Magic Breakfast. From a spinathon, to bake sales to a bagel breakfast, the team offered lots of ways for employees to get involved in fundraising. We are delighted to have raised £4,000 for Magic Breakfast, building on our partnership which has seen Amazon donate over £1M over the last three years.”

Staff were able to support their preferred charity during Community Giving Week at Amazon and we are delighted to have been supported by so many generous people. Thank you Amazon for a great week.
