Our stories Press Releases Horrid Henry stars in YouTube campaign for T-Shirt Booth and Magic Breakfast Thursday 28th January 2016 In celebration of National Breakfast Week, Horrid Henry is starring in a YouTube campaign to promote his great range of personalised T-Shirts available exclusively from T-Shirt Booth. Novel Entertainment is promoting Horrid Henry's partnership with charity Magic Breakfast all this week across social media channels to help raise funds and awareness for the charity. Mike Watts, co-producer for Novel Entertainment, says: “We are delighted to take this opportunity to work with Digital Giving and Magic Breakfast to encourage Horrid Henry’s fans to think about helping others.” T-Shirt Booth is a new digital fundraising concept from Digital Giving Ltd. It is the only global online portal where consumers can buy uniquely personalised T-Shirts featuring their favourite children’s characters while raising money for a good cause. Tracey Richardson, Licensing and Partnerships Director at Digital Giving said, "We are thrilled with Novel Entertainment's campaign and delighted to see Horrid Henry bring T-Shirt Booth to life on YouTube. It's an excellent example of how we work in partnership with our licensors and their chosen charities. I'm sure it will be a great success." Magic Breakfast provides fuel for learning via free, nutritious breakfasts to schools where over 35% of pupils are eligible for free school meals. Eating a healthy breakfast helps to improve a child's concentration, behaviour, attendance, punctuality and educational attainment. It costs just 22p to give a child a Magic Breakfast, which means for every Horrid Henry T-Shirt sold 9 breakfasts can be provided. Carmel McConnell, Founder and CEO of Magic Breakfast, said: "Magic Breakfast sends a big thank you to Horrid Henry fans, Novel Entertainment and Digital Giving for their fantastic support and for helping to provide hungry children with the best possible start to their school day. If a child doesn't have breakfast, they can miss out on four hours of learning every school day, which adds up to half their education. Every 22p raised through buying a Horrid Henry T-Shirt will help a child to concentrate in lessons and be healthy and happy". Translated into 22 languages, Henry has assumed many different national identities including the gloriously named Pablo Diablo in Spain and Rico Le Peste in Italy. About Magic Breakfast Magic Breakfast provides free, nutritious breakfasts to schools where over 35% of pupils are eligible for free school meals. In each of the 480 schools the charity supports, children arrive too hungry to learn, but eating a healthy breakfast helps to improve their concentration, behaviour, attendance, punctuality and educational attainment. It also helps pupils to attain and maintain a healthy weight. Magic Breakfast already provides breakfast to over 23,500 children each morning, but it has a sizeable waiting list of schools requesting urgent food aid and knows that at least half a million children in the UK go to school hungry every day. It costs just 22p to give a child a Magic Breakfast so a small donation will go a long way to solving the problem of child hunger as a barrier to education for good. Manage Cookie Preferences
