‘Fuel for Learning’ will unlock the learning potential of hundreds of children. This low cost, high impact initiative will aim to replicate the model of success we were able to build through our work with the Department for Education; enabling schools to become sustainable in their breakfast provision; improving social mobility and educational outcomes for children and young people; building a pipeline of success for the future.

The results of our 2016 survey of 404 head teachers and breakfast club coordinators speak for themselves:

  • 87.7 per cent of respondents (up 3.3 percentage points from 84.4 per cent in 2015) reported that their Magic Breakfast provision had led to improved educational attainment levels, for the pupils that had participated;
  • 96.5 per cent of respondents (up 1.7 percentage points from 94.8 per cent in 2015) reported that their Magic Breakfast provision had led to improved concentration levels amongst the pupils that had participated.

A recent article in the Observer about a Magic Breakfast partner school, Forest Academy in Barnsley, highlighted the successes achieved by this, previously, underperforming school due in no small way to the provision of breakfast and support by Magic Breakfast.
