We are delighted that FatFace Foundation, the charitable arm of the clothing brand is now supporting Magic Breakfast, providing funding for 100,000 breakfasts! Last week we celebrated the launch of this new partnership with FatFace at one of our partner schools, Havant Academy in Hampshire.

Alan Mak the local MP, a long-time supporter of Magic Breakfast, was instrumental in setting up the partnership with FatFace whose headquarters are in his constituency.

We met at Havant Academy a secondary school near Portsmouth, where the guests were able to see a busy breakfast club in action. Headteacher, Victoria Adams has transformed the school’s breakfast provision from a limited canteen offering with a take up as low as 5 students, to a large-scale Magic Breakfast in a relaxing space at the heart of the school. Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 8.30am and students enjoy a lovely social start to their school day with newspapers to read and the radio playing, a real café atmosphere.

Breakfast is run by an efficient and committed team of pupil prefects, wearing ‘Bagel Boss’ aprons. Alan gamely joined them, buttering bagels and serving pupils and all the visitors enjoyed talking to the young people enjoying their breakfasts.

The FatFace Foundation was set up to make a positive difference to the lives of people in communities where FatFace sources, manufactures, retails and distributes its products across the UK.

Thank you to the inspiring Havant Academy for hosting and thank you so much to the FatFace Foundation for your generous donation, we look forward to working with you. We enjoyed your blog too!
