A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a dynamic and influential charity that supports schools in starting, expanding and optimising their breakfast provision with the aim that no child is too hungry to learn.

As a Trust and Grants Fundraiser you will be instrumental in generating income with a particular emphasis on trusts, grants and foundations. You will be responsible for researching funding sources to make high value and successful applications to larger trusts, grants and/or foundations.

In this influential and exciting role, you will have a strong understanding of how to promote and communicate our vision effectively so that it becomes reality. You will play a key role in maximizing opportunities to generate further income that will enable us to provide nutritious food for children and support their educational opportunities.

Job Description

Purpose of the role To research funding sources to make high value and successful applications to larger Trusts, Grants and Foundations. The Trust and Grants Fundraiser will be instrumental in generating income with a particular emphasis on trusts, grants and foundations.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Identify opportunities to raise funds from trusts, foundations and grants as appropriate.

* Engage in research to identify funding sources

* Ensure that high quality fundraising applications are submitted within donors’ deadlines

* Successfully achieve financial support from Trusts, Foundations and/or grants

* Record fundraising activities and income generation

* Effectively manage the portfolio of new and existing grant, foundations and trust funders

* Engage trust, grants and foundation funders through effective communication

* Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders i.e. grant, foundation officers and donors

* Work with colleagues to identify the best prospects to maximise income.

General

* Work closely with the Fundraising team to gain an understanding of trusts, foundations and grants fundraising priorities

* Work as part of a team to develop and implement the fundraising strategy and plan in line with the vision and values and goals of the organisation.
