Role: Research and Data Officer

Tenure: 9 months fixed term contract (possibility for extension)

Salary: £27,000-£30,000 (Depending on experience)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a dynamic and influential charity that supports schools in starting, expanding and optimising their breakfast provision with the aim that no child is too hungry to learn.

As a Research and Data Officer, you will play a key role in a team that effectively gathers, analyses and evaluates data to inform strategic and operational decisions.

As a key member of the data management team, you will be able to utilise and enhance your data management, IT and analytical skills. You will work on ground-breaking projects and be able to provide project and administrative support. You will be able to communicate effectively, research and pay attention to detail.

In this influential role, you will use your skills and passion for data to provide meaningful insight by gathering and analysing data to demonstrate the impact Magic Breakfast has on children’s nutrition, behaviour and educational opportunities.

Description of Role

Purpose: This role will be instrumental in researching, gathering, inputting and analysing data that is communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Researching, collating and preparing data for use in internal and external reports as well as grant and funding applications

* Inputting, cleaning, analysing and reporting quantitative and qualitative evaluation data

* Compiling reports on data gathered/analysed

* Checking the accuracy of data across multiple reports and systems

* Contributing to the design and implementation of complex monitoring and evaluation projects

* Undertaking literature reviews and data analysis

* Draft written reports on literature review and data analysis findings

* Responding to data queries and requests from internal and external stakeholders

* Collecting evaluation and research data from external stakeholders

* Following up with external stakeholders on feedback received via surveys

* Contributing to the development and implementation of surveys

* Ensuring data is managed in accordance with data protection rules and regulations

* Providing project and administrative support
