You will be part of an influential charity that supports schools in starting, expanding and optimising their breakfast provision with the aim that no child is too hungry to learn. As the Partnership Manager, you will be part of a dynamic fundraising team that will work closely with a specific Corporate Partner to successfully fundraise for our charity through fundraising events and challenges. In this influential role, you will enable us to successfully achieve our organisational goals. You will not only maintain relationships, you will work with our Corporate Partner who is located close to our premises and others in our team to secure, nurture and maximise this Corporate Partnership. Job Description in more detail This is an exciting new position to manage a large Charity of the Year partnership with a prestigious financial services company (‘The Partner’). The Partnership Manager will be responsible for delivering this 2-year partnership. The majority of the time this post will be based at the London offices (in the City) of ‘The Partner’ making this a unique opportunity to manage every element of a large Charity of the Year partnership from corporate events and employee engagement to business development and networking at every level of the business. You will lead on the strategic development of the partnership as well as motivate and inspire employees and senior staff to raise funds. The successful candidate will be a driven, energetic and organised individual with experience in organising events and working with large companies. You will be comfortable working to financial targets. Purpose of the role * To raise income for the charity by supporting and developing the UK Charity Partner relationship with ‘the partner’. * Working with the Head of Community Engagement and Corporate Events team of ‘The Partner’ on identifying and managing fundraising opportunities within the company. * Managing the events and fundraising plan for ‘the partner’ as agreed. Location and hours This full-time role will be based at ‘The Partner’ offices (The City, London) 4 days a week (just a short walk from the Magic Breakfast offices) and with the Magic Breakfast team 1 day per week. There is likely to be a significant amount of evening work and travel to ‘The Partner’s’ regional offices will also be required. Key Tasks Planning & Budgeting * With the Senior Corporate Fundraiser, Magic Breakfast and the Community Engagement Team at ‘The Partner’, draw up and agree targets, plans and budgets for each fundraising activity. * Monitor progress against targets, plans and budgets and prepare regular management reports. Fundraising Activities * Liaise with ‘The Partner’ to plan and manage all the fundraising events that involve the charity throughout the year. * Prepare information for ‘The Partner’ staff regarding the events, the charity and the relationship. * Promote and recommend as many appropriate fundraising activities in conjunction with ‘The Partner’ as possible. * Network with, support, and prepare reports or other appropriate feedback for ‘The Partner’. * Work with and communicate with the Magic Breakfast team based at Head Office. * With the Magic Breakfast and ‘The Partner’ Communications team, arrange PR coverage of corporate support, where appropriate. * Attend events as required and manage volunteers as necessary General, Personal & Developmental * Assist in identifying and securing new sources of income, and assist other members of the Fundraising team as required. * Contribute to the overall development of Magic Breakfast by establishing efficient and effective working relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders. * Take responsibility for own development and training needs, in consultation with line manager * Keep abreast of latest developments and of statutory and legal requirements in the field of fundraising, and apply them appropriately. * Keep abreast of Magic Breakfast’s research, impact and external relationships and of current developments in the field of education and breakfast provision. * Carry out other duties as reasonably requested by the Senior Corporate Fundraiser Chief Executive, and/or Board of Trustees.
