Job Title: Corporate Partnerships Manager, full-time position

Reporting to: Head of Corporate Partnerships

Salary: £33,000 per annum


JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting position to take a leading role in Magic Breakfast’s corporate fundraising team. You will be responsible for managing and stewarding a proportion of the existing portfolio of accounts while helping to build and cultivate a pipeline of support for future financial years, ensuring the long-term sustainability of Magic Breakfast.


Purpose of the role

• To raise income for the charity by providing first-class account management to some of Magic Breakfast’s existing accounts, creating tailored stewardship account plans and uplifting income targets each year.
• To significantly contribute to the new business goals of the corporate team by securing long-term support from the corporate sector.
• To work with the Corporate Partnership team to ensure that the corporate team raises £1,500,000 of income in the financial year 2018/19.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


New Business
• Work as part of the corporate team to develop and cultivate a pipeline of prospective supporters from identified to ask pending with a specific focus on key sectors.
• Help to forecast fundraising income for the current, and next, financial year.
• Support with new business generation from application writing through to network mapping and pitching.
• Negotiate and clarify terms of support and agree partnership objectives and funding remits ahead of partnership agreements.
• Ensure all due diligence is completed and ethical fundraising guidelines met.
• Produce attractive and effective fundraising materials.


Account Management
• Provide excellent account management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that the terms of the partnership are met, the account is stewarded and the objectives are met.
• Seek opportunities to uplift and creatively add value to each account.
• Work with the corporate team to implement a clear stewardship plan for all corporate accounts.
• Produce compelling and timely reports to all managed funders.
• Coordinate stakeholder school visits and volunteering opportunities where necessary.


General
• Ensure all corporate financial records are maintained and recorded.
• Keep accurate records of account activity and income via Salesforce.
• Reconcile income raised for all managed accounts, ensuring up-to date financial tracking sheets.
• Provide regular management and activity reports for the Head of Corporate partnerships.
• Keep abreast of corporate fundraising trends and news.
• Contribute to team meetings, sharing best practice and supporting team members where necessary.


PERSON SPECIFICATION


Essential
• Experience of working in fundraising, sponsorship or sales.
• Proven track record of sales and account management, including the ability to uplift and maximise account activity.
• Excellent written communication skills with experience of writing successful funding bids.
• Outstanding presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A collaborative team player with the confidence to work both self-sufficiently and to share projects and delegate tasks as necessary.
• Thorough understanding of best practice in prospect research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proactive with excellent planning and organisational skills; good at prioritising, managing reactive work, balancing multiple requirements and adapting to unexpected situations.


Desirable
• Educated to degree level.
