Role: Bookkeeper

Hours: 3 days per a week (flexible depending on needs)

Salary: £27,000-£30,000 per annum (depending on experience/skills)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for you to work as a Bookkeeper in an influential charity that supports schools in starting, expanding and optimising their breakfast provision with the aim that no child is too hungry to learn.

In this instrumental role, you will lead on financial administration, manage bank transactions, reconcile bank and other balance sheet accounts. You will be flexible, proactive and attentive.

In this exciting and varied role, you will gather data to prepare financial reports and cash flows. You will prepare VAT returns and work as part of a team to prepare budgets and forecasts.

The successful candidate will have bookkeeping or accountacy experience. You will have excellent administrative, organizational and planning skills. You will thrive on providing accurate data and paying attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Lead on financial administration such as expenses, invoicing payments, direct debits and paying suppliers

· Manage financial bank transactions such as bank, cash, cheques, cards, receipts and VAT invoice receipts

· Prepare account statements

· Prepare financial reports and cash flow on a regular basis

· Prepare Budgets and Forecasts as instructed by the management team

· Maintain relevant accounting records

· Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet regularly

· Prepare VAT returns

· Manage petty cash

· Process staff expense claims

· Maintain an effective filing system

· Check the accuracy of data across multiple systems

· Ensure data is gathered and managed in accordance with relevant financial and data rules and regulations

· Be the first port of call for all finance queries

· Uphold the organisation's financial policies and procedures

· Engage in other activities to support financial administration
