Players of People's Postcode Lottery

People’s Postcode Lottery is a charity lottery raising funds for, and increasing awareness of, charities and good causes across Great Britain and globally.

On 11th December, 2014 players of People’s Postcode Lottery awarded Magic Breakfast £175,000. This was increased to £200,000 when a surprise award of £25,000 was announced at the People's Postcode Lottery Charity Gala on 28th January, 2015.

This is allowing us to continue to develop our work in the North of England, enabling us to reach new schools and provide partner schools with the tools and support they need to ensure every child in these schools has access to a healthy breakfast and the right fuel for learning. The total award will provide close to one million nutritious breakfasts to school children throughout 2015. Thank you!

You can help us by Playing People’s Postcode Lottery:  For every £2 you spend with People’s Postcode Lottery, 55p goes directly to local charities like us.

Once their postcode is registered, players of People’s Postcode Lottery have the chance to win a prize every day:

Monday to Friday, every winning ticket scoops £1,000 with the Daily Prize.

On Saturdays, one lucky postcode wins £25,000 per winning ticket.

Every Sunday, 10,000 postcodes win £10 per ticket.

Every month, one lucky postcode wins £100,000, and three winning tickets scoop a dream holiday worth £4,000 plus £1,000 spending money.

Postcode Millions Draws are held nine times per year, with shared prize pots of at least £1 million!

As 55p from every £2 ticket is awarded to charities and good causes, players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £72.2 million to date, which is distributed to beneficiaries through various Postcode Trusts.

Coutts London

Magic Breakfast is Coutts London Charity of the Year 2014/2015. The partnership involves employees at Coutts fundraising throughout the year to help us to provide a healthy breakfast to even more children across the country. The purpose of the partnership is not only to help us feed more children but also to use employees' time and skills volunteering at Magic Breakfast partner schools across London.

As at June 2015, employees had raised an astonishing £120,000 via a variety of fundraising activities, culminating in a 24 hour music marathon held at Coutts HQ. Thank you so much to everyone at Coutts who voted for Magic Breakfast and for your amazing energy and commitment to helping to ensure no child is too hungry to learn.

Quaker Tropicana

The generosity of the Quaker Tropicana team has made a huge difference to Magic Breakfast. Working in partnership with the charity since 2009, they deliver Tropicana Juice to each of our schools every week and the children adore it.  Each term they deliver their porridge to give the children just about the best nutritious start to their day. They have also used their expertise to help us develop our successful and efficient logistics operations.

In Autumn 2014 Quaker launched the "Feed Their Future" campaign, designed to raise awareness of how eating breakfast can aid learning and to raise funds for Magic Breakfast. The campaign started with an on-pack promotion followed by, in January and February 2015, a brilliant TV ad and exciting educational events held at our partner schools in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol. We are extremely grateful to Quaker for giving us such an amazing promotional opportunity which has enabled us to reach many thousands of potential new supporters.

In early 2010 Quaker ran a fantastic on-pack promotion to raise £100,000 for Magic Breakfast and help raise our profile.

An additional huge Thank You goes to their staff who are running, climbing and carrying out various other fundraising activities to add even more to help children get the best start to their day.

Thank you so much for your absolutely amazing on-going support, it makes a huge difference!

Yipiyap Ltd

Yipiyap Ltd is the brainchild of Cheshire Entrepreneur Anne Morris. It is a tutor service that harnesses the academic skills of gap year students taking a year out before university, placing them in primary and secondary schools across Cheshire to support learning in Maths, English and Science. These inspiring young people, armed with A levels, enthusiasm and empathy, in turn inspire their pupils to embrace their education and be the very best they can be.

Anne’s sponsorship commitment to Magic Breakfast began with the first £500 profit she made. Anne’s experience in schools made her appreciate, all the more, the importance of a breakfast to a child’s ability to concentrate and learn. She now sponsors two schools in the region on an annual basis to ensure the children there go into school properly nourished and ready to learn.

Belmacz Gallery

In 2013 the Belmacz gallery held the show Miss G -The Private World Of Greta Garbo, exhibiting clothes belonging to the film star which were then sold in the form of a silent auction. Greta Garbo was most conscious of healthy living and eating, feeling passionate about the first meal of the day. Growing up in very modest circumstances she never forgot the simple and essential concerns in life. The proceeds of the show went directly to Magic Breakfast. Then, in 2015, the Unexpected Encounters show saw all donations from the sale of art works by the artist Stanislaw Wejman go to Magic Breakfast. Belmacz believes strongly in continuing its support for Magic Breakfast and, for our part, we are very grateful for all the gallery is doing to help hungry children.
